      During this amazing age of technological breakthroughs, health care information systems are being used more often for everything from storing patient information to online telemedicine. Due to this rise in technology, several information systems are being developed to best serve the healthcare community.

     GE Healthcare's Centricity 11 System includes Medical Informatics , EMR, Revenue Cycle Management, Perinatal Software, Departments, Medical Imaging, Practice Management, Patient and Physician Portals, and Digital Pathology. Additionally, The program also integrates with a wide range of medical devices, medical imaging systems and other GE Healthcare products. "Centricity EHRs are designed to offer powerful reporting on clinical outcomes. These reports are critical for benchmarking a practice to its peers nationally. Users of Centricity are better prepared to participate in pay for performance medicine programs as a result."

      Health Fusion's MediTouch system includes Web Based EMRs, Touch Screen, Records, Competitive Analysis, Specialties, and Free Training. According to Health Fusion,  "Many EMR/EHR vendors do not offer customizable software or systems. Those vendors force doctors into rigid templates with interfaces that are difficult to read and operate, and often require a great deal of typing.
